I was happy to find that the newly dedicated Science and Technology Building was bestowed to Frank H. Rogers. Having said this brings back many memories of my association with Frank. I was employed at the Nevada Test Site in the fall of 1951 with Haddock Engineers, Ltd., which was subsequently renamed The Nevada Company before being transferred to REECo. It was at that time that I had the pleasure of meeting Frank Rogers as the manager of REECo. I found him to be one of the most straight-forward and energetic managers I have ever met. He helped me a great deal in my early days at NTS and as a result, we became good friends.

There is not a day that goes by that I don't look back on my long career at NTS and as Base Support Manager in Las Vegas, that I do not think of the fond memories and friendships I had through all those years. In being interviewed in 1951 regarding my employment at NTS, I was given a guarantee that the work would only last from 6 to 8 weeks during this initial construction period. In retrospect, I retired in 1990, encompassing 42 years of my career, and thought that was the longest 8 weeks of my life! ha ha!

Paulette and I moved to central Florida in 1996, in an area where one of the largest horse breeding industries presides. It's beautiful here. We would like to hear from old acquaintances who wish to reminisce about the good old days at NTS.

Sincerely,
Ed and Paulette Weaver
