NEVADA TEST SITE HISTORICAL FOUNDATION

The NTS Historical Foundation depends on the spirit of volunteerism.  From its beginnings in 1997 and the opening of the original Nevada Test Site History Center and gift shop, through the creation of exhibits for the Nevada Atomic Testing History Institute's exhibit center, the Foundation could not have survived without the solid core of dedicated volunteers that have supported its activities.

During the important time period from now until the summer of 2003 when DRI's Science and Technology Building officially opens and the Foundation's museum store is launched, we are still in need of hard working volunteers.  Our "traveling gift shop" is open for business, holding down booths and tables at important meetings and conferences in the Las Vegas area.  In addition, the shop travels regularly to the Nevada Test Site on public tour days.

If you are interested in volunteering your time to the Traveling Gift Shop, please e-mail Layton J. O'Neill at [email protected].

Beginning in the summer of 2003, the Foundation will be developing a full-scale volunteer services program.  If you are interested in adding your name to a list for notification about future NTS Historical Foundation program opportunities, click here.
